-
Starting off. Keep a journal
of medications taken, effects over the following months, and events that
occur. (Special note: Females make a notation during start of and end of
menstration cycle) The purpose of this is for a day to day record of changes
that can be used as notes when discussing changes in treatment, medications
and therapy with your Doctor.
-
In between visits with therapist,
case managers, teachers, etc. Write down the questions and topics of disscussion
as they come to mind. Bring the notes with you and if you have to,
write down the answers.
-
For patients: Always remember
do not stop taking your medications without your Doctors approval!
And do not go against his/her orders! Many of us have fallen into this
and have not come to terms that, some of them stay in your body for days
and even weeks. We may still feel fine during this time, until we hit bottom
again. And even then we can not rationalize what we have done. There are
many support groups where we live, to talk with someone just like yourself.
