Making bows: 
  1. Cutting fabric to the desired length & 2x the ended width allow for 1" seam allowance in both directions. Ex: a bow with a finished width of 4" then cut a large piece fabric which measures 15" x 3" & a small strip 3" by 3" which includes the seam allowance. Fig.1b
  2. Folding this in half lengthwise & sew around 3 sides leave an opening for turning right side out.
  3. Now shaping the ends to the fold.
  4. Next trimming the seam allowance. 
  5. Right side out, start by slipstitching the opening & press. Fig. 2b
  6. Taking a smaller strip of fabric in the same way to go around the center of the bow. 
  7. Folding the longer piece of fabric to form a bow. 
  8. Now by secure the center the smaller strip of fabric, slipstitch ends on the back.

Making a rosette:
  1. Cutting a piece of fabric 1½ times, the ending result = circumference by the width of finished rosette allowing 1" seam allowance on both sides.
  2. Ex: for a finished diameter of 4" cut a strip of about fabric 20" x 5" including the seam allowance. 
  3. Now pinning & stitching short edges together
  4. Using a flat seam, forming a ring & press the seam allowance open. 
  5. Folding in half lengthwise (right sides) together & matching raw edges. 
  6. Now two(2) rows of gathered stitches through double thickness close to the raw ends.
  7. Pulling up threads, start gathering into a rosette & secure and anchor the threads. 
  8. Now sew a covered ball in the center (right side) through all the thicknesses.
  9. You have just completed your pretty rosette
